Corneal Topography: A 3D Map of Your Cornea

Corneal topography is a key part of our diagnostic process when we’re fitting a custom pair of scleral lenses, assessing corneal irregularities like keratoconus, or helping you learn if laser eye surgery is an option for you.

This quick, noninvasive scan creates a 3D map of the front surface of the eye and lets us deliver you precisely the care your eyes need.

What to Expect in a Corneal Topography Scan

During your corneal topography scan, you will sit in front of our Medmont Corneal Topographer and rest your chin against it to allow us to get clear, crisp imagery.  We will ask you to look at a ringed target inside the topographer while we take the images. Your scan only takes a few seconds, and nothing touches your eye during the process.
